Should I celebrate?
I’m a dad
So, yes!
I should
Take my two girls
Out.
But this Father’s Day
I’m torn
It’s got to the point
Where
I feel worn
Out.
Thorn
Is just a rhyming word
It doesn’t describe
The painful, painful prick
Inside my heart and
Out.
Shout
My pen says
Don’t write
Just cry
Cry a Nile
Cry it all
Out.
But tears
Won’t sprout
My beautiful father
From his muddy grave
Back
Out.

Sami – hearty congratulations on making a gem of a movie! Thoroughly enjoyed it and my respect and appreciation for immigrants and minorities has gone up several times. Loved the screenplay and acting. Your father would be so very proud of the man that you have become. You mentioned in the movie that you wanted to “help people”. Your work is helping a lot of people – hoping to see more of it!
